ArtsSmarts is governed by a Board of Directors. This group of dedicated and committed volunteers is comprised of professionals who lend their expertise in providing vision, strategic leadership, policy directives and stewardship for the organization. The Board of Directors has legal and fiduciary responsibility for managing the organization with input from the Partner Council.

The Partner Council is an essential link between the national vision and direction of ArtsSmarts and the ground level practice of network members.  All members of the Partner Council represent coalitions of organizations that fund and guide the development of ArtsSmarts programs in specific geographic areas of the country. In this capacity, Partner Council members are a primary source for feedback from teachers, artists and students on the ground level practice of ArtsSmarts, and the primary disburser of program information within their geographic areas.

The Board and Partner Council work closely with our staff team.  Led by our Executive Director, the staff team is responsible to implement the Board's vision and provide strategic direction and management as it relates to day-to-day operations.
