On December 3, 2009 at 6:00 pm, please join us for a tribute dinner in honour of the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation.  The dinner is being held as part of the Canadian Symposium on Arts and Learning to recognize the Foundation's outstanding support of arts education in Canada.  Notably, its work with ArtsSmarts.

The Canadian Symposium on Arts and Learning will take place at the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning, home of The Royal Conservatory, in the heart of Toronto from December 2 to 4, 2009.

The symposium will focus on advancing Canadian action, charting a national/regional/global course for research, networking and advocacy.  As a regional summit of the World Alliance for Arts Education (WAAE), it will be framed by three key questions: 1) Where does Canada currently stand in research and best practices?  2) What challenges are confronting arts and learning?  3) What actions need to be taken in the next decade to advance arts and learning?
